Malibu Magazine - The Salons of Ghost Geniuses & The Command Center of Ghost Nazis

Opening spread and a full-page illustration for the Winter Issue of Malibu Magazine. The article was about a group of European refugees that fled Europe and the Nazis and ended up in LA in the 1930s. Little did they know that a few miles away a rich American couple had been convinced by a German mystic that they should build a command center to give to the Nazis when they took over America... Really interesting (and true!) story, and it was a lot of fun to work on this. Thanks Julian!

The Progressive - Paid Sick Leave

New work for The Progressive's December/January issue for an article about the lack of paid sick leave for the majority of workers in America, to the extent that workers are afraid to let their bosses know that they are sick for fear of being fired. As always it was a pleasure to work with AD Nick Jehlen.

Chicago Reader - Can't They Take A Joke?

Spot illustration for today's Chicago Reader for an article about a local professor who says he was fired for telling a joke. Thanks to AD Paul Higgins for giving me the call!
